An amazing programme of events was arranged by a hardworking group of volunteers to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. There was something for everyone to enjoy!
On Saturday, 6th May a Coronation Village Party was held in the Playing Field and Pavilion off Darkfield Way from 4.00 p.m. until 9.30 p.m. Attractions included a falconry display, forest school activities, craft stalls, live music from Ben Cipolla, the man from Funkle plus DJ Rends and entertainment from Krazy Kev and Dinky Dino. There were also numerous food outlits and young people were also able to enjoy an inflatable and face painter.
On Sunday, 7th May a Family Church Service was held in the marquee in the Playing Field from 11.00 a.m. until 12 noon followed by a picnic lunch with entertainment.
On Monday, 8th May the BIG Help Out took place with a Church Spring Clean from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., a Village Hall Land Clearance from 11.00 a.m. until 1.00 p.m. and a Football Open Day with repairs to the pavilion and tidying at the playing field.
