Work has recently been completed to reduce the height of the hedge at the side of the Village Hall bordering Crancombe Lane. The hedge had not been topped for many years and had become top heavy. The young elms were also showing signs of disease and were likely to become unsafe. The work will also allow the street light to alluminate the car park at night.
The work does look severe at the moment but the appearance of the hedge will improve when the leaves return and some growth is made in the Spring.
